Welcome to the 2025–26 School Year!
We are excited to begin another great year at Southampton High School and to partner with you in fulfilling our mission: Students Matter, Parents Matter, Teachers Matter! As we step into our first week of classes, I am filled with excitement because I know your child is about to embark on a unique and meaningful journey—because they matter!
First, your child will experience teachers and staff who are intentionally building emotionally safe and supportive classrooms that foster a sense of belonging for every student. These classrooms will be places of intellectual growth and curiosity, where students learn not only from our outstanding teachers and facilitators, but also from one another. You can expect teachers to be “warm demanders”—educators who combine high expectations with genuine care—expanding excellence while ensuring that every student knows they are a valued member of the Southampton High family, now and always.
Second, that sense of belonging and those strong relationships will become the foundation for rigorous learning. Our team is committed to equipping students with transferable skills—critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and creativity—that will prepare them to succeed in every path they choose beyond high school. We are building world-changers at SHS, and that requires rigor, accountability, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Many of these pursuits are challenging and will require all of us working together. That’s why you can expect consistent communication, intentional support, and meaningful opportunities to engage with our school team throughout the year.
